CBT Therapist

I am a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT), and accredited by the BABCP. I have a Psychology BSc from the University of Exeter, a masters in mental health studies from Kings College London and a postgraduate certificate in clinical supervision from the University of Reading. Alongside my private therapeutic practice, I am a lecturer in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at the University of Reading, where I train and supervise new CBT practitioners. I have worked within mental health services for 19 years, supporting both adults and young people with understanding and managing their psychological wellbeing.

My focus is initially on exploring an individual’s story; their experiences of anxiety, depression, OCD or trauma. By having a better sense of the thoughts, beliefs and responses that are keeping them stuck, we can together identify areas to change. My CBT ‘toolkit’ is also supported by my training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)to help create an individual approach to therapy.
